On the wire ...
It recently occured to me that for all the artwork on here i failed to put up any traditional work, so with that in mind I've made a quick sketchbook :)
Updates

Theres something fishy!

Recent work includes matte painting and texturing on Piranha 3d and Knight and Day at Spin Pro in Toronto. I've also updated my website with a few new pieces of work created in the last few months.

Clash of the Titans

Recent work includes matte painting at Framestore on Clash of the Titans, the 2009 remake of the classic 1981 film.

 

There's one in all of us ...

As with many people a very special story for me and one i was priviaged to work on with the VFX team at Framestore London. I was fortunate enough to be one of the few matte painters on this film and created a number of interesting backgrounds and set extensions. As i write this the show is opening in the US to some great reviews! i can't wait to see it!!

I worked as a texture artist on Avatar with the team at Framestore, creating textures for a number of props, vehicles and buildings scattered in and around the various environments. Thousands of people have worked on Avatar across three continents and i'm glad to bring something small to the experience.

About me ...

David has been focusing his career in the visual effects industry for the last 10 years, specifically as a matte painter/environment artist. He's worked on a number of high profile projects including James Cameron's Avatar, Where the Wild Things Are, Clash of the Titans, Me and Orson Welles, Prince Caspian, Ashes to Ashes (BBC) and a number of TV commercials for clients including; Mastercard, Panasonic and Carling.

David is currently based in London (UK) and available
